Why should I use a Water Filtration System and what kind should I use?

February 9th, 2011 by admin

Lately my friends and family have been telling me that I should really be using some kind of water filtration system instead of drinking my water straight from the faucet. I was just wondering if there was any advantage health wise as to drinking filtered water over tap water.

Here is an answer to that question: There are also some more down below the video.

After taking a home water test and discovering all the toxins in your water supply you may want to protect the health of you and your family with a simple faucet water filter or an even more comprehensive whole-house filtration system. There are many available and many companies that install these systems. Price around and get the best deal!

Why Should I Test the Water in My Home ?

February 18th, 2010 by admin

We all need water for various purposes – for drinking, bathing, washing, irrigation etc. Amongst all, the drinking water should be safe and contamination free for a healthy living. There are various types of water tests which apply stringent criteria to ensure microbial, mineral and chemical safety of drinking water.

A microbial or bacteriological test indicates presence of any pathogenic or disease-causing bacteria in the drinking water. The EPA has designated testing of coliform bacteria as a standard for determination of safety of using water as these bacteria are simple to identify and are much abundant.

The drinking water test kit is made to check for presence of various coliform bacteria & nitrates. Such kits are quite accurate as all testing material – including sampling bottles are often sterilized to prevent external contamination of samples. A mineral analysis on the other hand provides an estimate of the extent of mineral impurities in the water.

Many industrial-waste chemicals can also contaminate a water supply and impair its usability and/or create a health hazard, for instance, petroleum products, industrial chemicals, agricultural pesticides, heavy metals like lead so and so forth. So, water must be checked periodically. You can order a home test kit here:

Environmental Health Hazards Testing

January 12th, 2010 by admin

Environmental pollutants are all around us infiltrating the very air we breathe and the water we drink.  Hazardous chemicals and pesticides are now a part of our daily lives and affect our indoor air quality as well as our physical health.  These toxic materials can take a toll on our environment but more importantly on our bodies.  Keeping our homes and workplaces safe from the indoor pollution is becoming more difficult as time goes on.

You can protect yourself and your family from the dangerous and toxic pollutants in your home by testing for these hazardous chemicals and substances yourself.  Have you ever worried about your drinking water or if there might be radon in your air at home or asbestos in the basement?  There have been many recent reports about lead in children’s toys.  Lead poisoning is very common and causes irreparable damage to a young child’s brain and nervous system.   Just because you can’t see the contaminants does not mean they are not there.  They are real and do impose toxicity health risks.

The best way to determine if you are at risk for exposure to any of these environmental hazards is to perform a test yourself.  There is a test for many of these common health hazards and you can take control and get the answers you need.

There’s a TEST for that !

  • Lead
  • Radon
  • Asbestos
  • Mold
  • Air Quality
  • Fungus
  • Water
  • Pesticides
  • Heavy Metals
  • Bio-contamination
  • Disasters
