Fatal Crashes and Fatalities Involving Alcohol-Impaired DriversDrivers are considered to be alcohol-impaired when their blood alcohol concentration (BAC) is .08 grams per deciliter (g/dL) or higher. Thus, any fatality occurring in a crash involving a driver with a BAC of .08 or higher is considered to be an alcohol-impaired-driving fatality. The term “driver” refers to the operator of any motor vehicle, including a motorcycle.
In 2008, 11,773 people were killed in alcohol-impaired-driving crashes. These alcohol-impaired-driving fatalities accounted for 32 percent of the total motor vehicle traffic fatalities in the United States.
Children: In 2008, a total of 1,347 children age 14 and younger were killed in motor vehicle traffic crashes. Of those 1,347 fatalities, 216 (16%) occurred in alcohol-impaired-driving crashes. Out of those 216 deaths, 99 (46%) were occupants of a vehicle with a driver who had a BAC level of .08 or higher. Another 34 children age 14 and younger who were killed in traffic crashes in 2008 were pedestrians or pedalcyclists who were struck by drivers with a BAC of .08 or higher.
Drivers: In fatal crashes in 2008 the highest percentage of drivers with a BAC level of .08 or higher was for drivers ages 21 to 24 (34%), followed by ages 25 to 34 (31%) and 35 to 44 (25%).

Employers who use drug/alcohol test screenings on their employees are now more commonly turning to hair drug testing and using the hair test rather than the urine, blood or saliva test. Why? Because there is a longer time frame for detection and the tests are very accurate.
Illicit drugs such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana, prescription drugs, and many others can be detected in hair for several months and even years in people with longer hair. Hair usually grows 1cm per month so a 3cm sample will provide a 3 month history. Collecting the hair sample is painless and non-invasive, unlike a blood test.
The courts are also requesting this method more frequently as test results are being upheld in court. Parents who are concerned about their child’s possible drug use will find that hair drug testing at home is easy and very convenient. Hair drug test kits (as well as drug and alcohol home tests) can be ordered online and done in the privacy of your own home.
One of the disadvantages of hair drug testing is that the results from do take longer than the other methods – usually one week and up to ten days – but the accuracy and depth of information resulting is much greater and therefore a better indicator of drug or alcohol use over the longer term.

Where can we get a kit to do HIV testing at home? Something with privacy.
At home HIV testing can be done in a confidential manner without knowledge of others. It is useful for early detection of HIV. A person can be HIV-infected for many years while looking and feeling healthy, with no signs at all of being sick. HIV testing is the only way to find out for sure.
Nowadays, it is possible to do your testing with complete anonymity with these at home HIV testkits. However, at some stage you need to go for proper testing and advice. Home testing is only the very initial stage.
