How Hazardous is Black Mold in the Shower?

My roomate and I have been smelling a horrific mildewy smell for the past couple of months. We only smell it after our suitemate takes a shower, so we’re not sure if it has anything to do with the mold, but we blew it off. Today my roomate finally decided to clean the shower and when she lifted up the mat she found the underside to be completely covered with “black mold“. We cleaned it thouroughly with what we had, but I was wondering how harmful it might be to us.

Hi, in the long run mold of any kind and color is very bad to breath in. Use the homemade Mold remover. Borax is a natural mold retardant. If you live in an area where the humidity levels are high, try adding a cupful to your soapy water whenever you wash down the walls. 1/2 cup borax 1/2 cup vinegar 1 cup water In a spray bottle, combine the ingredients and spray generously on black moldy surfaces. Wipe clean with a damp sponge. You might want to invest in a good air purifier too, and a fan in the bathroom. Hope that helps, good luck

Home HIV Test?

There is a test that you could take a home, and it says to prick your finger to get a blood sample. But I’m a bit afraid to prick my finger. I was wondering if there was another spot on the body to get a blood sample or than the finger. Is there a reason why you’re to prick your finger? It’s still the correct blood sample no matter what part of the body it comes from, right?

I do HIV testing and when I run a test similar to what you are talking about it is easiest to clean the finger, prick it with the Lanette, draw a drop of blood, using a gauze wipe to blood away and the press again to get a few drops of blood for the collection.

BUT I would suggest going to a clinic or HIV/AIDS service organization to get tested, some have a test that you run a paddle across your gum in your mouth and can get the necessary sample. And these places are usually free, and totally confidential.

I took a HOME DNA PATERNITY TEST. I tested my son and myself, no mother because I have no idea where she is. Now the results came back that I am 99.557% not excluded as the father. I’m not at all convinced that this test is correct because we didn’t match in 2 sections. Do you have a similair experience with a home DNA paternity test? No matter if it was good or bad.

I recommend all fathers to do these paternity DNA tests on their children as 30% of men paying child support are on children that are not theirs. They are accurate, but that’s not your only problem. If you were not married to the mother, you have no legal rights to the child, so at any time she could come and take the child away from you. You need to immediately file a motion in the court to establish your paternity rights and for custody plus child support. If you can’t find her, in many states all that is needed is a newspaper notice to get a default child support order. Is a DNA Test a type of paternity acknowledgment?

By Taking and paying for a DNA paternity test shortly after child birth, legally is it considered a paternity acknowledgment? In the eyes of the court. I know there is a form called Paternity Acknowledgment but is the test good enough? I am the father and want to keep it that way but because I didnt register with the Putative Father Registry that leaves me open to having my kids adopted without my consent. Up untill February I was sending money and visiting when I could. She cut off all contact, remarried her ex and he filed for adoption of my kids.

The court should rule in favor of you since you have the paternity test saying that the children are yours. Also, if you can show that you’ve made your child support payments and have made contact with the children as often as possible, then no reasonable judge (or jury) would take those kids away from you. Try not to make yourself sick over this. Keep talking with your lawyer and see what you can do. You’re a good father.
